Dan Rabarts has been successful in his bid to represent New Zealand as the FFANZ (Fan Fund of Australia and New Zealand) delegate for 2014, with the backing of Cohesion Press Editor Geoff Brown, writing collaborator Lee Murray and Tankbread author Paul Mannering, and will be attending Continuum X in Melbourne in June. He is looking forward to treading the halls and making himself known to the Australian fan and writing community, so if you’re heading to the Carnival of Lost Souls, keep an eye out for him, and introduce yourself. He doesn’t bite … hard.

* Continuum X : Carnival of Lost Souls will be held at the InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto, 495 Collins St, Melbourne this week end from Friday June 6 to Sunday June 9. For more information, click here.

Twsited Clay

Introduction by James Doig

Author: Frank Walford

Publisher: Salt Publishing

ISBN no.:  9781844717163

RRP: ₤8.99

Release date: 14 May 2014

Available here.

This the first reprint in more than fifty years of Frank Walford’s classic horror pulp novel, which was first published in 1933. Banned in Australia for decades, Twisted Clay is narrated by one of the great anti-heroes of modern literature, Jean Deslines, a murderous teenage lesbian who revolts against the short-sighted, misogynistic society of contemporary Australia. This edition contains a biographical essay by Jim Smith and an essay on the reception and banning of Twisted Clay by James Doig. It is hoped this edition of a forgotten Australian horror classic will appeal to a new generation of Australian readers.
